First, let me give a very brief introduction of my academic experience. I earned my PhD in Biochemistry at Louisiana State University (LSU). As a PhD candidate at LSU, along with my research project, I had to balance graduate course-work with teaching undergraduate courses. Currently, I am working as a postdoc at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. I have been exposed to both worlds, the strict academic world at LSU and a more technical and professional ambiance at NIH.
